Occupational health and safety : LOXAM earns ISO 45001 certification for its entire network of branches in France. A first in France in the equipment rental sector.

The European leader and world number 3 in equipment rental, the LOXAM Group aims to be a pioneer in more than one respect… and to this end has just obtained ISO 45001 certification. This is a first in France in the equipment rental sector! With its long-standing commitment to Occupational Health & Safety, LOXAM has been awarded ISO 45001 certification by Bureau Veritas for the whole of its network in France. This external recognition is the result of the three-year plan “Safety, Anytime and Anywhere” initiated by the company in 2018.

A leading certification for LOXAM

ISO 45001 is the first benchmark in the world in the area of occupational safety and was first published in March 2018. It acknowledges the efforts made to take into consideration and prevent all the possible risks to personal health and safety in companies, and the commitment of everyone to achieve this.

“This certification is a prime reflection of the priority that the LOXAM Group places on safety, and illustrates its desire to get its stakeholders involved in these subjects: its customers, partners and employees, whatever their profession, country or culture. Today, the firm’s HSE policy is perceived as a fundamental principle of our business in the widest sense, and lies at the core of everyone’s job,” explains Stéphane Hénon, Group Managing Director. 

The certification comes in addition to two others previously obtained by the group: ISO 9001 and 14001. It provides the assurance that the pillars of the safety policy are known and complied with at all levels:

  • 100% of its equipment is compliant and up-to-date with inspections, with exhaustive checks made-in particular on its safety devices – every time it is rented out.
  • 100% of employees are trained in their working environment and attend meetings to help improve working conditions.
  • 100% of LOXAM branches have undergone risk assessments and actions have been taken to mitigate any risks observed.

In addition, a structured approach has been implemented in the aim of improving all work tools and equipment lent out to LOXAM customers and raise them to best-in-market standards so as to promote safety in branches and on customer worksites.
