LOXAM acquires Sofranel and SCL and strengthens its presence in the North of France
The Loxam Group (“Loxam”) announces the acquisition of Sofranel SAS (« Sofranel ») and Société Cominoise de Location SAS (« SCL ») from their current owners members of the Beyens family.
Established respectively in 1977 and 2000, Sofranel and SCL are major players in the equipment rental in the Hauts-de-France region. The companies, historically specialized in public works equipment, have diversified their activities towards modular spaces, power generation, landscaping, as well as rental with operators. Sofranel and SCL operate two branches located in the heart of the Lille metropolitan area and have about 70 employees. This acquistion strengthens Loxam’s position on the rental market in the North of France.
The Beyens family stated: “We are very pleased to conclude this transaction which enables our teams to join an international group with an entrepreneurial DNA. The recognition of our know-how, and of our specificities, is a great satisfaction for the family“.

The sellers have been advised by Société Générale (financial advisor), Juridis Conseil (legal advisor), Deloitte (financial due diligence) and In Extenso (labour due diligence). Loxam has been advised by par Cleary Gottlieb Steen Hamilton (legal advisor and legal due diligence), Ekem Partners (financial due diligence) and Arsène Taxand (tax due diligence).
