400 LOXAM branches mobilise to support construction sites as work gradually resumes

Following five weeks of lockdown, Loxam is stepping up measures it has already introduced to support the resumption of work. The LOXAM network is operating today with 400 of its French branches working in contact-free click-and-collect mode to accompany professionals all over France as they gradually return to work. A network of 300 branches provides nationwide coverage with on-site deliveries. This calls on the rigorous application of the hygiene and safety procedures in place since the beginning of the lockdown, together with the observance of recommendations issued by the French building trade occupational health and safety body, OPPBTP.

80% of the network now open

Today, more than 80% of LOXAM’s French network is open for business, with 400 branches offering safe hire conditions through either deliveries or click-and-collect. By opening these branches, the full country is covered and LOXAM continues to stay close to many work sites. This reduces the distances travelled to deliver equipment and, in so doing, limits the risk of spreading the Covid-19 virus from one place to another.

Branches are continuing to operate while applying the most stringent health and safety protocols that have been successfully deployed for the past five weeks as part of a business continuity plan in compliance with the Group’s ISO 450001-certified health and safety principles. These measures include social distancing of at least 2 metres, the introduction of ‘quarantine’ zones with Departure and Return areas for equipment pick-up and drop-off (including on work sites), the cleaning and disinfection of equipment between hire periods, and placing the onus on e-mail and the internet for customer interaction.

“Our Group is present, motivated and geared up to support professionals resuming their activities – and in the safest conditions –  by offering them a high-quality service and processes that have been tried and tested for over a month already (since the beginning of our network’s business continuity plan). Thanks to the commitment and resolve of our teams, all of our 5,000 branches across France will soon be open for business, allowing us to fulfil the needs of trade and personal customers alike,” says Olivier Grisez, Managing Director of Loxam.

Renting equipment in total safety in the LOXAM network

Loxam’s recommendations in France for equipment rental during the Covid-19 outbreak have been published on www.loxam.fr/covid_info

Top priority: health and safety

“The safety of everyone and everywhere, of employees and customers alike, is more than ever an absolute priority for our Group. It is in this perspective that we are currently equipping our network with the fittings that will subsequently enable us to physically open our branches to customers, such as hand sanitizer dispensers or perspex protective screens at reception desks,” adds Loubna Bonneroy, Supply Chain Director at Loxam.
